Family Christmas Session

About a week before Christmas, I had the opportunity to photograph a couple families & their kids. "N" & "LK" are the older brother & sister who enjoyed holding their new little cousin, "B", while I took some shots. Hopefully the prints made a wonderful surprise for their grandparents on Christmas morning!

Recent Family Shots

I've been pretty bad lately about getting regular shots of my little girl.....something about her turning away from the camera every time I get her dressed up for a photo shoot has been discouraging me.  But, here are a few recent shots of her.

Baby "J" Has Arrived

A couple weeks ago (I'm slow to upload lately.....), I had the opportunity to return and take pictures of Baby "J", whose mommy had just done maternity photos with me.  "J" was a great sport and is a pretty laid-back baby so far.  He let us pose him in various settings in his nursery.  I had a great time & am happy with how the photos turned out.  Now, making a decision as to which ones to post.....that was quite difficult.  He is just so cute in all of them!  And what a head of hair!!!!

Baby on the Way

Only a couple weeks after my first maternity session, I had the opportunity to photograph another expectant mommy (who just happens to be one of my good friends) and daddy.  We had planned to do alot of outdoor shots in their beautiful neighborhood that has lots of community park like areas......however, mother nature has decided to downpour all the water we've been missing the past year or two during the drought, in a few short days.  Saturday was one of those days.  So, we did some on their front stoop and in their nursery.  However, the nursery shots turned out REALLY well......they have this beautiful bay window that was a great source of natural light which gave us some great pictures.  Here's a few from the session that I loved:

New Baby & Mommy

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph one of my best friends from college & her new baby girl "A", who was just 7 weeks old.  They were visiting to see her family, but we got to hang out with them while they were here.  She was a great baby - smiling & happy the whole time.  Here's some of my favorite shots:

Maternity Session

This weekend, I shot my first maternity session for a friend who is expecting in a few weeks....actually right around my due date from a year ago.....  But I digress.  We went to a park near her home & also took some shots in the nursery.  I tried using some of my baby's blocks as a prop to spell out the baby's name - his name will be Cristian (with an accent over the a, but I don't know how to do that on blogger!).  It's a Brazilian name, since she is originally from Brazil.  I was really pleased with how they turned out & it was REALLY hard to narrow it down to my favorites to put on the blog.  So, here are the ones I selected as some of my favorites from the shoot.

Toddling Around

Today I had the opportunity to photograph a 2 year old boy around a local park with a beautiful lake loaded with geese in the background.  It was my first shoot of a toddler, as I needed some toddlers & also some boy pics for my portfolio.  He is all boy - running, getting sweaty, climbing trees, and not too interested in posing for me!  And I was interested to see that he turns away from the camera just as much or more than my almost 1 year old!  I guess that doesn't get better for a while!  OH yeah - and he wanted to wear his rain boots.....but his mom said, maybe it'll work because toddlers are quirky anyways!  Here's some of my fave shots from today:
